regardless of tax rates

BooHootiehoo | Dec 11, 2012 04:37 PM ET He is trying to assure his seat in heaven by promising everyones money to the meek and poor

jamesbd | Dec 11, 2012 04:39 PM ET Can`t this media whore Buffet keep his mouth shut for ten minutes without calling for higher taxes?? Proof that senility isn`t pretty.

DrSmith | Dec 11, 2012 04:39 PM ET The country`s tax policy shouldn`t be influenced by someone who, regardless of tax rates, has more money than he couldn`t ever spend. But, of course, according to the President, someone who makes over $250,000 a year is "rich," just like Buffett. Give me a break.

smkalberta | Dec 11, 2012 04:40 PM ET While I am a supporter of Obama and believe that most of the rich are simply crying foul to a system that was meant to prevent the rich from amassing all wealth. I have a solution to this little problem. If you are worth over 500 million, whether you give the money to charity, you`re kids or whomever. You are taxed 65% of that money. If someone gives away all the money they had right before they die. The estate should still be held to pay out whatever money was given away even before death. Make it so hard and impossible for rich people to avoid taxes at death. Piss on all you greedy a-holes and your need to f over the entire world so you can have more cash in you`re pockets.

stevek11 | Dec 11, 2012 04:42 PM ET So Mr. Buffett, are you going to pull $30B back from the Gates Foundation, so that your heirs can pay their FARE SHARE of estate tax? Hypocrite.

RayRock. | Dec 11, 2012 04:43 PM ET So Warren sheltered his $35,000,000,000 from taxes, and now he wants everyone else to pay more? He has no credibility on this issue. If he isnā€™t going to pay taxes on his 35 billion dollars why does he think other who have far less than that should have to pay more?

Zootopia3000 | Dec 11, 2012 04:43 PM ET YES!!! Lets tax em` three times over. Taxes for the income money earned, taxes for the money saved and invested, and again when you die. Welcome the the United Socialist States of America, brought to you by the Democrat and not so different RINO(Republican) parties.

fiscalone | Dec 11, 2012 04:45 PM ET Let`s start by including the value of the stuff he put in Foundations and trusts. Have those taxed at 55% with no exception. He is great to have others pay taxes but he avoids all taxes and has armies of lawyers and accountants planning how to avoid taxes. He has major tax cases pending. Why not concede the government is right and pay the taxes Warren?

johnsmyth | Dec 11, 2012 04:47 PM ET Like that would have fixed anything in Greece. Get the nepotism out of American politics for a start.

Puca72 | Dec 11, 2012 04:47 PM ET If he is so concerned he should give all his money to the Gov`t now instead of charity. Maybe he can get his friend Bill Gates to give all his money to the Gov`t. Maybe the Gates Foundation should give all the donated money it has received (which was given to avoid taxes) to the Gov`t. Why do people have so much to say but have very little action that stand behind their words!!!!!!!!!!!!
