sidfeinberg | Feb 20, 2013 09:05 AM ET but new permits for construction rose to a 4 1/2-year high -------------------------- We are in a full blown BOOM time here. Housing is exploding and went up 15% last year and is expected to go up 19% this year. Housing, on all levels is appreciating and only a fool would not be buying now. I can`t wait to see how many people are priced out within a year The economy, the stock market and real estate are booming because we are out of the Bush era depression and living in a time of great prosperity due to Obama. We must get rid of term limits and elect him for life. We would be a true super power again if we did. . . .

squirtbert007 | Feb 20, 2013 09:08 AM ET Gas prices are on the rise here.....so is "inflation"! Maybe johnnie boneher will save us????

Mr.Clumpus | Feb 20, 2013 09:41 AM ET Starts for single-family units, which comprised about two thirds of the total, edged up 0.8 percent to their highest level since July 2008. Highest level since the Bush Crash of 2008!!!!

duck33 | Feb 20, 2013 10:09 AM ET And it only took four trillion dollars created out of thin air to get the bubble re inflated. Quick everyone hide your pins......

Gas drop is even worse - it`s got up recently, and it`s at a really bad level for this time of the year. "2.5 percent jump in the cost of pharmaceutical products"(c) - oh, you`ve noticed? I hate the cost of my medical insurance, but when I see prices asked at pharmacies and hospitals... "passenger car prices fell 0.8 percent after rising 0.2 percent the prior month."(c) - Well now, that`s a relief for everybody!

Harryjh | Feb 20, 2013 12:26 PM ET Hi All: Housing starts of 890K is an annual number. The monthly number is 74,167. Devided by 50 states, the state monthly number is 1483. The administration is hiding this number thru a cooperative press. The Dakotas are doing well, but on privately owned land. The gov`t can`t stop this roaring economy. Good. Any person who grocery shops knows that prices have been going higher over the last few years. Getting less for the same price! Gas prices on the rise.
