Should I rely on rental property for retirement?

Adam Steinberger Mar 1, 2013 @sam Carpenter The above question is mine. I`m finding it very difficult to come out ahead with that much cash flow. I`m buying medium income houses (around 70-80,000) and renting them around $600 a month. I also do 15 year Morgages to pay them off faster. Is there a better approach?

sam carpenter Mar 1, 2013 Personally, as a real estate broker who has invested and come out on top, I would sell the properties mentioned. They simply don`t make enough money. Then I would look for something with a much higher projected income, at least 25% return.
